Alt Pride Festival 2024

Queer Roots Collective's Alternative Pride Festival: Queer as folk, DJs + live music, queer food vendors, sober Sunday, Right to Roam GM, amazing workshops, queer life drawing, family friendly, and much more! 7th+8th Sept @Platt Fields Market Garden

Join us for our second year of our alternative pride festival! We’re back at Platt Fields Market Garden in Manchester on the 7th and 8th of September.

Once again we are presenting two days of arts and crafting, music, talks, workshops, kids activities, and tasty food and drink. Our line up can be found here. We’re still releasing details so keep an eye on our Instagram to see the latest announcements!

On Saturday the bar will be serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and on Sunday the bar will only be serving non-alcoholic drinks in response to a desire for more dry queer spaces.

Tickets are available to buy separately for each day on a sliding scale to make sure the festival is as financially accessible as possible. We also have the option to add an extra donation of £5 to help support our cheaper tickets. Please consider paying as much as you are able, especially if you are an ally. We are currently exclusively financed through ticket sales as this allows us to remain financially independent as an organisation. Please note that under 16s must be accompanied by an adult while on site.

We also have a small number of free tickets for people who would otherwise not be able to attend, and for carer tickets. If you would like one of these, please get in touch via email: thequeerrootscollective@gmail.com or Instagram: @queerrootscollective.
